(FTTH) is a type of cable installation fiber-optic where fiber cable leads to a shared property and other cables channel connection to home, office or other space. Application FTTH often uses active optical networks or passive to distribute signals through fiber optic cable to housing or offices.

Fiber to the Home is just one of a number fiber spread which is collectively called FTTx. Including Fiber to the Building (FTTB), where fiber cables carry signals to buildings, or fiber to the node (FTTN), where is the cable fiber connects to a box on the roadside which is then distributed to several property.
